Laid-back Armenia!

Armenia is a very hospitable country. People are very kind and friendly. They pay attention to each other. If there is an older passenger or a lady (especially if she is pregnant) on the bus or on the train, somebody will offer them a seat.

Most of the time you can hear words showing respect and politeness like 'please' or 'thank you'. People are very communicative and create nice friendships and build interesting conversations especially when spending time around the table with a nice Armenian brandy and barbecue.

Talking to strangers is acceptable especially if there is the necessity to ask for help or offer help or if it is a very important situation such as an emergency.

Talking to strangers in public places can be seen more frequently on some public holidays like New Year or in the summertime when people spray water on each other (this is called vardavar). It is really fun holiday.

No topics are forbidden, you can talk about anything!

You will have nice time if you visit Armenia.
