Proposal for honouring an International hero

Introduction

The purpose of this proposal is to suggest an International hero who deserves to be honoured. My hero is famous and really appreciated.

My choice

My choice is Ellen DeGeneres, an American television host who has had her own talk show for a while now. She started working for a TV programme many years ago but in the beginning it was difficult for her to find her place. However, after a lot of determination and after working very hard, she could finally host her own talk show with fresh ideas to entertain the public.

Reasons for my choice

This woman is remarkable. Her talk show is not just about famous people but it is also about ordinary people who were unlucky in their lives or who are involved in different projects to help people. Ellen is inspiring for many women. She is generous and passionate. She always rewards people who deserve it most by giving them money or everything that they need to accomplish their dreams. She thinks that these people more than anyone else need support and to be rewarded. She chooses those who bring something to the community, who can make a difference and by doing that she is pushing her audience to follow their example.

Honouring my hero

If my choice is accepted, I suggest that the council should give Ellen an object that symbolises everything that she has brought in people’s lives. This prize could be known as the Ellen award.
