A Review - My Favourite Restaurants in Japan
My Restaurant Recommendations
There are lots of famous and traditional restaurants in my area in Japan. In particular, my area has a lot of nice ones which serve good meat dishes. Here are my favourites.
Kanaya
Kanaya Beef Restaurant serves nice beef dishes. In Japan there are a lot of local special types of beef and each of them has a unique taste. Kanaya serves Iga-beef, one of the local special types of beef. Japanese people prefer marbled meat which contain fats in red meat. Iga-beef consists of well-mellowed marbling and it is served in a traditional Japanese cooking style. It tastes a little bit sweet when you chew it.
Rairaiken
Rairaiken is also famous for its nice meat. They serve pork steak which is called Tonteki, which just means pork steak in Japanese. You can try dishes for local people in Rairaiken. It is always crowded with locals. You can have Tonteki surrounded by a lot of local people and have a chance to talk with them. Of course the taste of Tonteki attracts you.
My recommendation
To sum up, to enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine, go to Kanaya. You can enjoy superior beef in a private room. If you would like to talk with local people, Rairaiken is a better choice.
