Crazy, Stupid, Love is an American movie set in Los Angeles. It tells the story of the main characters Cal and Jacob. Cal is a desperate husband who has discovered that his wife had cheated on him. Jacob is an handsome man who spends every night meeting girls in bars. The movie is about the encounter between them.

The characters, their motivation and development

The movie is full of funny moments. The difference between Cal and Jacob’s behaviour makes the movie interesting. When Jacob meets Cal for the first time, he is complaining about his divorce and afraid of every girl that tries to approach to him. Cal seems to be an old-fashioned man who has nothing to be proud of except his ex-wife and his daughters. He can’t stop talking about them even if he is chatting up a beautiful woman. Jacob develops a sympathy for him and decides out of his own generosity to help him to become a better man. He made him his project and taught him how to be attractive, how to talk to women, how to make jokes…

What I like, my recommendation

I was very entertained by this movie. I am not the kind of person who usually watches love stories but I have to admit that this one is well done. If you like a happy ending and having a good time you should definitely watch this movie. You will be surprised and maybe you will learn one or two tricks from Jacob.
