Portobello Market
Firstly what's going on this year with the weather?! June is almost here but it is still cold and the sky is grey. We can not see blue sky and the sun. This makes me a bit sad and to have a student life after many years started affecting me negatively. Anyway I am sure when I see the sun and warm weather I will feel much better 😊 So I am waiting for the sun with hope.
Anyway, back to my homework! On Saturday I met with my friend. He is from Germany and he lives out of London. I have visited almost all the tourist places in London so now I like to spend time in local areas, but he doesn't know anywhere very well. So I had a mission and showed him nice places in London. Therefore we went to the Portobello Market in Notting Hill. This location is in west London. However the best day to visit is Saturday and it is closed on Sunday. Portobello Road Market is one of London's notable street markets. Every one knows London has many markets, but for me one of the best is Portobello Market. You can see one of the most popular roads in the area. There are nice, differently coloured houses. You can visit both the beautiful houses and Portobello Market.
Whenever you go there you will find a wonderful fresh fruit and veg market, there are also second-hand clothes and antiques -as long as you don't mind a big crowd! You may find yourself lost in antiques like me. The other thing which I like the most there is the old records. If you want to take a break, you will find cafes, pubs and bars so there are plenty of places to take a rest to eat or drink during your visit to the market.
