Proposal - Hobbies that help you take time out!
FIND TIME FOR YOUR YOURSELF!
In today's society it has become more and more difficult for people to take some time out for themselves to relax, to stay with their families or simply just to do what they enjoy most, because they are too busy working. That’s the reason why I think that your plan to create a series of documentary programmes about unusual hobbies is such an inspiring idea, because it can open people’s minds to new activities which might be really fun. In addition I’m sure that it will definitely catch the attention of a wide range of audiences. In this regard, I would really appreciate if you could keep in consideration the following suggestions about which hobbies you should include in your programmes.
RECYCLING
One of the most interesting hobbies I can think of that perhaps you could choose is making jewels out of newspaper. It is impressive how just folding and sticking paper in different ways can give you such good results, and the best part is that it looks just like a real expensive jewel. All you need is newspaper and some white glue and you’re done. I would highly recommended you to propose this activity because not only is it easy and quick to make, but it is also a smart way to recycle paper, and that will be the key to its success. People can then get inspired and try to invent new things with recycled material, for instance bags or pencil cases made out of plastic.
ROCK BALANCING
On the other hand your second programme could be based on stone balancing, which can be considered not just as a hobby but also as a type of art. It involves placing some combinations of rock or stone in arrangements which require patience and sensitivity to create. I’m positive that it will become a trend in few years because it can be seen as a new way of meditation, since it requires lots of patience and silence. Certainly this will be a very attractive activity to present for your programme, because people will be curious to understand how everything actually works.
In my opinion these programme proposals would be of interest to ordinary people as well as they would appeal to people of all ages. If successful, the series may well be the beginning of a regular magazine programme with new fun activities.
