A letter to a friend
Hi Lola,
I’m glad to have some news from you. It’s been a while! I’m so happy that you have finally decided to come study in my town. As I have already told you, it’s a great city and you will find a lot of things to do in your free time.
First, I suggest you join the drama club. The teacher is very nice and it will be a good way for you to meet some people. It’s not that expensive and I have to say that the actors are pretty good. I really enjoy going to see them on stage. I’m sure you will have a great time. You can go every morning from Monday to Saturday.
I also recommend the yoga class. I know you are not really keen on sport but I think this one will suit you. The class sometimes takes place outside in a park when the sun is shinning. More than a sport, it brings you some serenity and self control. With all the pressure that you will have at school with your exam preparation, it could be a good way to escape for a while.
Another thing would be the cooking class. They give you tips and advice on eating more healthily and without spending a lot of money. You cook for other students so it’s a nice moment to share with your friends. I’m actually attending to this class myself!
I hope you will find one of these activities attractive! I look forward to your reply!
Best wishes,
Gwendoline.
