Some people say that the best way to broaden young people's understanding of the world is to encourage them to travel to other countries. I totally agree with this opinion, and I will tell you the reasons why and suggest other measures which are effective for them in this essay.

Firstly, nothing is better than a real experience and there is a saying, seeing is believing. Moreover I think experiences are more powerful than just seeing things. Through a real experience, you can use your five senses and it gives you a vivid feeling. However, it is said that young people nowadays see things in a narrow way or tend not to challenge new things. Some of them do not realise there can be a lot of chances in the unknown world or in their future.

Secondly, there are so many things you don't know in the world. Actually, some of them can be what you don't want to know. Travelling to other countries is one of the easiest and most effective ways to know the real world. Young people should know what is really happening in the world nowadays, not just about the good things. The world is not as peaceful as you might think. We have numerous tragedies in the modern world. To know things is really important to understand things.

On the other hand, in this advanced technological age, virtual trips can be a beginning to have an eye to the unknown world. Also much clearer pictures on modern televisions can give people a dramatic image of different places in the world.

To sum up, adults should give young people the chance to travel to other countries to gain a wider view. Once they make contact with the unknown world, they can promote their curiosity by themselves. They can easily absorb anything new, and are familiar with modern technology, which is a suitable way to get information easily and quickly.
