My Favourite City - Tiberias

The name of my favourite city in the world is Tiberias. It is in Israel. Tiberias is a stunning, gorgeous city, with a big lake inside of it called Kinneret. It's a holy city for the Jewish people and dates back over 3000 years ago. Many Jewish sages are buried there.

The city is not big, just the lake is big, very big. The lake, and the city, are surrounded by mountains, it is really, really beautiful, it's impressive, I think I could say grand, even. Kinneret is a grand lake. In the summer the city is boiling hot, really hot, hot the way England hasn't got a clue about what it means!

In one of the mountains is the city itself, at least many roads and houses or apartments. Each street is higher and higher in the mountain. The higher you are in the mountain the more panoramic your view is from the lake and the city centre. The lower you are, the closer you get to the lake.

Many Jewish holy places that date back from long ago are there. I love this city, besides it's outstanding beauty, it is a very peaceful place, very uplifting. My husband and I spent the second week of our marriage there and we went back that for summer vacations later on. Its a very special place for us.
