My Favourite City - New York

Each city has its own beauty and zest, and each city has its traditions, customs, history and architecture. I've been to completely different countries with various architecture such as old towns, more historic ones or modern ones. For me countries with a great and long history are very interesting. And I always want to know more about them. I like how buildings transfer you to another century and it's fascinating to see that ancient period of time. Also the meals of every country represent its history. I really like trying new food and comparing it to our national food.

At the same time I admire modern cities as well. I think it's unbelievable to see high-rise buildings with interesting shapes e.t.c. And for example I'd like to pick a famous and trendy city like New York. I went to New-York once,when I was about 11. I don't remember all of the things in vivid colours, but I know I was amazed by this beautiful city. There were many high-rise buildings which were really stunning.

We had a chance to walk through New York at night. Everywhere was bright and there were huge displays where we were shown some pictures and adverts.The night was like a day. This city never slept. The streets were packed with people, who were also astonished by this beauty. This list of things could go on and on, but I want to say that New York is not the only country with sights like that, and I'm sure that our planet Earth is full of many magnificent places that I unfortunately haven't been to. But if I was asked what's the secret to happiness I would reply : " Family, friends and the opportunity to travel"
