My Favourite Sport - Boxing

I am going to write about my favourite sport, boxing. I will write about boxing from the following three perspectives, history, techniques and how it attracts people.

Boxing has its own long history. It started with humans walking on their two feet. It is said that Egyptian army used boxing for their training around 4000 BC. It was adopted into the 23rd ancient Olympic Games in 688 BC. In 1867 Queensberry Rules were set by the London Amateur Athletic Club, and they were the origin of modern boxing's basic rules, then through the rules, boxing has changed from a cruel show to a sophisticated sport.

Modern boxing is one of the most beautiful and intelligent sports, it also has another name: the noble art. Boxing looks like a very simple sport. In a boxing match, they can use only two fists and have to hit a limited area; front and side of the upper half of a body. However boxers use advanced techniques and complex fighting plans in a match. Due to the simpleness and fight plots, boxing has developed more sophisticated techniques and higher strategies and tactics than other martial art sports.

Top boxers earn thousands or millions of pounds just from one match. Over 100 countries' people watch a super fight all over the world. Boxing is easy to enjoy watching even if you are watching it for the first time - it is an instinctive sport for a human being. However, boxing is very profound and it is not easy to catch the subtle movements and fight planning of top boxers. Someone once said, "Once you are interested in boxing, you can never stop watching it".
