A Holiday in Santorini, Greece

My experience in Santorini

These pictures were taken at a place called Oia in Santorini. Even though I visited it last year, it is still an unforgettable memory for me.

I had been wanting to visit Greece since I saw a picture of it which was so picturesque that I was eager to take the same picture which grabbed my heart. Fortunately, I got the chance to go to Greece last year, so I decided to visit an island called Santorini without hesitation.

Santorini is one of the most beautiful and touristy islands in Greece. It consists of houses painted with white walls and blue roofs. They stand on the side of cliffs, which are like terraced fields. Furthermore, this island is surrounded by a turquoise ocean. These white and blue contrasts make the scenery fabulous. As I was approaching this island, I noticed that there were many white houses on the top of the cliffs. It was as if there were snow on the mountains.

During the daytime, this island is boiling hot. However, as it gets dark, there is a comfortable breeze. This helps us chill out after a busy day sightseeing. What I' d like to talk about is the sunset. This island is also famous for its spectacular sunsets. Around the time the sun goes down, tons of tourists head toward the place where we can get the best view of the breathtaking sunset. The view changes minute by minute and what's more, unlike its daytime, the place becomes serene. That was literally breathtaking... I couldn't move from that place for a long time.

Although Santorini is a touristy place in the summer time, it's worth visiting, I think. I'd like you to experience these two sides of the scenery in Santorini!
