Funerals in Iraq

In Iraq funerals have special significance and are more important than births or weddings. They differ from one person to another. The funeral of a normal person, not like a political person or a religious man, might continue for at least three days.

On the first day, they bury the body. It is usually buried in a cemetery for example there is a large cemetery called Wadi al-Salam south of Baghdad.
