A Brazilian Treat - Dulce de Leche Doughnuts!

Ingredients: 1 cup of warm milk 2 teaspoons of dry yeast 4 cups of wheat flour 1/4 cup of sugar Salt 2 eggs 1/4 cup of butter (the consistency needs to be soft, like a paste) 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavouring 1 cup of sugar icing 400 grams of "dulce de leche" (no English translation, they use this word from Spanish! It is a sweet, creamy spread made with milk and sugar.) Directions:

Combine the milk, the yeast and a pinch of sugar. Set aside. In a bowl, combine the flour, the sugar and a pinch of salt. Place the combined milk, yeast and pinch of sugar that was set aside into this bowl. Add the eggs, the butter and the vanilla. Mix them together for around 5 minutes Put the dough onto a floured surface and using a rolling pin, roll it till you get a 1 cm thick dough With a 6cm circular cutter, cut the dough into circles, put it into a baking pan, sieve some flour over it, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for around 1.5 hours Deep fry in oil, medium heat, and fry until golden, both sides Put the doughnut in the icing sugar Cut the doughnut with a knife and spread the dulce de leche inside
