My Trip to Amsterdam :)

My last holiday was great. I went to Amsterdam with my friends last July. We travelled by car. Our parents were worried about us because it is one thousand kilometres away and we hadn't had much experience driving at the time. It took us over 10 hours to get there but we were lucky because we didn't have to wait in any traffic jams.

We stayed there for 3 days in a great hotel near the centre. Surprisingly, the hotel wasn't too expensive. We walked around the city and saw most of the famous places like the Oude Kerk, the Begijnhof, the Magere Brug and many more. The Oude Kerk is Amsterdam’s oldest building and oldest parish church. The Begijnhof is one of the oldest courtyards with wooden houses around it. A group of historic buildings, mostly private dwellings, centre it. Finally, the Magere Brug ("Skinny Bridge") is a bridge over the river Amstel in the city centre of Amsterdam. We used a bicycle to get around because it is sometimes safer than walking.

In Amsterdam, there are so many beautiful places very close to each other as it is not such a big town. People were very polite and friendly. I believe I will go back there one day there. I fell in love with this town!
