Enchanting Rome! :)

Hi! I’m going to tell you something about my country, in particular about Rome.

Rome is a beautiful and enchanted city because of the monuments and the history of the town. There are a lot of things to do, like walk along the Tevere, see the monuments and visit museums and the Città Del Vaticano, but the most interesting thing to do is visit Trastevere, a typical district full of Roman restaurants, squares and streets full of character.

There are a lot of parks in the city like Villa Ada, Villa Carpegna and Villa Borghese, but the biggest park is Villa Pamphili with 180 hectares, and it’s not only a park but also a historical residence. There aren’t any dangerous areas but during the night you have to pay attention especially in the parks where some guys go to take drugs.

Everything is good to take a picture of in Rome, but one of the most interesting places is Pincio or Gianicolo. Gianicolo is a historical park where at 12 o’clock there is a cannon that is fired as part of a tradition. Pincio is like a garden next to Villa Borghese where couples go to stay together and have fun.

The easiest way to have a tour of the city is walking in the streets because the public transport is often late. In Rome there aren’t any particular local festivals, but in summer there is an interesting festival called Tevere Expo, where there are restaurants, fast food, pubs, stalls and other attractions along the riverside.

There are a lot of famous places in the town like Piazza Venezia, Città Del Vaticano or Bocca della verità. There are also different things to eat, but some typical things from Rome are Rigatoni con la pajata or pasta with calf intestine, Trippa or stomach of cow, Supplì al telefono and also spaghetti alla carbonara or spaghetti all’amatriciana.

The oldest building is the Pantheon built 25-27 years before Christ like a pagan temple and now used as a Catholic Church and museum. The most popular place to go out at night is Via Libetta, where there are a lot of discos. Alternatively, people get together in the squares which is the best place for me!
