Super Seville!
The Giralda of Seville, is the bell tower of the Santa Maria de la Sede Cathedral. It is one of the most famous buidlings in Seville and it is the “image” of the city.
I'm in love with this monument, it is an example that Seville, more than any other town in Andalusia, has influenced different towns.
In the second picture we can see a Roman stone in the base of the bell tower.
In the third photo the facade of the architecture is Arabic because this building was the minaret of a mosque.
And the last photo is the Catholic bell tower.
On 29 December 1929, the Giralda was declarated a “national heritage” and in 1987 it was inside on the world heritage list.
This bell tower, which is the emblem of the city, was the biggest monument in Seville five years ago but now it is the Pelli Tower, which is a modern building. There was a heated discussion about this building because Seville is a traditional city.
