New Year in Spain

On the night of the 31st December, in my case, the family of my mother meets in the house of my grandmother. My other aunts and my mother prepare a lot of dishes appropriate for this night. The starter is ham, salmon, prawns, cheese, etc. First is meat or fish with all the accompaniments and it is finished with delicious deserts, such as cake, nougat, marzipan, etc.

At 23.45 pm all the family sit down on the sofa and turn on the TV and 12 seconds before midnight, at every second the bell rings, you have to eat a grape for each second.

Whoever gets to eat all the grapes will have a good year 😊

We finish the night singing and dancing with all our family. We enjoy this night!
