Visit Stratford-upon-Avon!

I invite you to tour the city of Stratford-upon-Avon, best known and popular for being the city where William Shakespeare was born and lived.

Stratford-upon-Avon is a small and beautiful town in Birmingham and is in the center of England. I did not know about it, because the most popular and most famous places are always London, Manchester, Liverpool, etc. Well, the town is super nice and touristy, and everything revolves around Shakespeare.

When I arrived I was excited, I looked around surprised to see everything so different to what I'm used to in London.

What really struck me was that there were two golden mailboxes, and from what you can see, they were painted gold in honor of two people from Stratford-upon-Avon having won two gold medals at the Olympics, or something I understand.

In addition, of course, there is the famous house of Shakespeare. You can take a tour of Shakespeare’s house and the different houses of his daughters and family. Everything is preserved, the wooden floor, the stone walls and it’s is very well maintained with beautiful gardens.

There is also Shakespeare’s famous theatre, it was very well received by the public, it is always full of people and the prices are very reasonable.

Also, there is the park with its boats that you can rent, all of them are named after some characters from a Shakespeare play, like Romeo, Juliet, Hamlet etc.

You can also find some boats that restaurants and you can go for a walk before dinner or visit ice-cream shops..

Finally, in terms of the area, there was not much variety. There were many pubs or bars for beers but only three discos.

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading this, I say goodbye as always with a famous phrase, and who else’s phrase could I choose but Shakespeare’s?!

To be, or not to be, - that is the question. - (Hamlet) Shakespeare.
