Life Without Technology
It is hard to think what life would be like without technology!
It is hard to think what life would be like without technology! Everyone uses technology like phones, TV, laptops. I use my phone very often (even now while I’m doing my homework!). It helps me with learning English. So, I decided to give up technology devices for one day to see how addicted I am.
Every evening I set my alarm phone and in the morning it wakes me up. That day I used my alarm clock instead. Another thing which I usually do in the morning is to check the time, check the weather and read messages and emails. That day I couldn’t do anything, and I was feeling cut off from the world.
After breakfast I remembered I had to make a payment but without having my phone, I had to travel to the bank and it took me more than one hour. I was stuck in a traffic jam and I was running late for work because of that. When I have lunch I usually read the news in my country using my phone. That day I took a newspaper and I started reading it. It was good for me because I could practise and improve my English.
As I’m living abroad and in a big city my phone is very important. I can keep in touch with my family and friends from my country for free or if I want to go to a new place I just have a look at google maps and choose the most convenient way to get there. In addition, I sometimes use my phone for cooking and we can do shopping online and save a lot of time.
After work I came home, and I had to do my English homework. Usually, I use my phone but that day I looked up words in a dictionary. I was focused on my writing and that helps me a lot. Lastly, at the end of day I usually call my parents but I couldn’t that day, so I felt a bit guilty.
All in all, I wouldn’t say I’m very attached to technology or that I can’t live without it. Technology is very important and makes our life easier. I could live a few days without technology however, I can tell you some people are very addicted to gadgets and technology.
